This year, the 1719 Hans Herr House and Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society are collaborating to host "Lancaster Roots," a year-long schedule of concerts, classes, festivals, field trips, exhibits and sales. • Folk Arts Classes—Try your hand at Native American crafts, blacksmithing, or baking in a bake oven.
• Girl Scout Badge Days—Brownies or Juniors earn up to three badges for completing activities related to Colonial history.

The 1719 Hans Herr House opens in April with Decorated Hand Towels, a special exhibit displaying decorative Pennsylvania German stitching from the mid-1800’s.
